In June 2017, Sam completed an art and research residency in the parque natural Sierra María - Los Vélez in the province of Almería, Andalucía, Spain. By emerging herself in the natural beauty of the beautiful surroundings, this was a time for Sam to reflect, develop and question the direction and substance of her practice.
