Sam's practice thrives working individually or collaboratively, due to the self-motivation, organisation and drive she shows to understand the subject matter she works with. Sam currently works with material, performance and sculpture to explore the ephemeral and ever-changing quality of feelings.

Residencies

 

June 2017       Joya: AiR Residency  Sierra María - Los Vélez, Andalucía, Spain

​

  • Questioning the themes and dialogue of my current art practice, whilst reflecting on the huge body of work made on my Fine Art Degree.

  • Continuing in-depth research concerning themes of self-healing and self-understanding, and also researching into how I can manipulate themes of domesticity and physical labour, to make my internal state a physical and visual entity.

  • Exploring performance art in a different environment to push the boundaries of my current practice.
